The Space

Maintaining a lot of its original features with some recent renovations, this loved home is the perfect escape from the busy city life. The house has uninterrupted Northerly views of Swan Bay offering something special along with plenty of character. While yes, the home is old, it is spacious and airy, with views to die for. This home will not disappoint with what this location has to offer.

Head down the garden path to the boat shed and swing open the doors to reveal the lakes edge. This area is perfect to fish, kayak or paddleboard or just relax with the sounds of the water lapping at your feet.

Please note: The house is on a steep block with narrow steps. Please be careful, especially in wet weather. We do not recommend this home for people with limited access.

Parking is on the grassed area at the top of the driveway but is only available for one car. Parking is available on-street.

Guest Access

Guests will have access to the whole property and boat shed however the garage is not for guest use.

Neighborhood

Marks Point is a small lakeside suburb. An excellent location for fishing, boating, and water sports. There are also popular fine sandy beaches on the coastline and also around Lake Macquarie. It is 25 km away from the city of Newcastle, and only 1.5 hours from Sydney.

Marks Point also has 'Naru Beach Reserve' to offer - tucked away down a gravel road, a great local secret. Naru has amazingly crystal clear water which is perfect for kids and swimming. You are able to launch your boats or ski's at the ramp that is offered to go explore the other sand islands.

Marks Point is close to Blacksmiths, Caves and Catherine Hill Bay beaches. Blacksmiths is popular with families. while you can explore the sea caves at low tide at Caves Beach, which also has picnic and barbecue facilities. Snorkellers and divers will be delighted with the shipwrecks in Catherine Hill Bay. Pelican is also just a short drive with a children's park and also more crystal clear water to enjoy.

A great spot for rock fishing is at Pinny Beach in the National Park. The Coastal walking track is a great way to experience the beauty of Wallarah or explore forest trails on a mountain bike. For high-speed thrills, you can ride on a jet boat on the lake or in the ocean with JetBuzz Watersports.

Getting Around

There is parking available for one car at the property and public transportation by bus is located near by. There are taxis available.

Other things to note

This self-contained home is booked exclusively for your use, it is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival and we have contactless check-in and check-out to help you have a Safe-Stay.

There may be a noise monitor at the property - this will send automatic messages should the noise level be above 80 dB. please be mindful of the neighbours as we follow a good neighbour policy in regard to noise and behaviour. A security camera may also be located at the front of the property but this is not monitored unless a concern is raised by the neighbours or community.

Please note that you will be required to complete a check-in form before check-in. This will involve providing your home address and email to Lakeshores Accommodation and a copy of your Drivers License to establish the identity of our guest.
