The entire front is glass, with sweeping water views through the trees. You'll be visited by myriad native birds, including kookaburras, lorikeets, butcher birds, cockatoos, galahs, and magpies. 'Pirama' is the word for 'wild duck' in the local Awabakal language and it won't take you long to work out why – you'll see families with ducklings wandering across the road and down to the waterfront.
This home feels a mile from nowhere but the local conveniences are just down the road. The home is perfect for that relaxing getaway for a family or two couples. With the living area opening onto a deck area and the waterfront reserve and 180-degree water views. Here you can sit back and enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine, or just reading a book under the shade of the trees.
The house is built on two levels. Open-plan living area, kitchen, and bathroom are on the ground level, along with a bedroom with a double bed and a single. Upstairs, wake up in your king-size bed and you'll feel you're staying in a treehouse. There's a desk and chair so you can work in peace – if you can keep your eyes off the view!
The living room is divided into dining and lounge areas, where there is a large-screen TV, DVD player, and a selection of DVDs for adults and kids. You can Chromecast Netflix etc through your phone.
The kitchen features new appliances. It is fully equipped for keen cooks including a convection cooktop. electric jug, toaster, blender, and coffee machine, plus a dishwasher. The bathroom has a small shower-bath, suitable for children, and a washing machine, plus a separate toilet.
Wander to the water’s edge for a spot of fishing. The water is shallow around this area of the lake and sandy-bottomed which is perfect for kids, swimming, and fishing. A few minute's walk from the house is Sandy Beach, with BBQs, picnic tables and playgrounds, and a designated swimming area.
The home is an easy 20-minute walk along the lake's edge to Summerland Point shopping center, where you'll find a convenience store, a bakery, and coffee shop, bottle shop, restaurants, takeaway, and more. Across the road from the shops are a boat-launching ramp, picnic area, and playground.
The guests will be able to access the entire house
Summerland Point is a suburb on the shores of Lake Macquarie. The local shops include restaurants, a Post Office, Hairdresser, Bakery Cafe, Newsagency, Fish & Chip shop, Supermarket and Service Station.
Summerland Point is popular with the boating community due to its very sheltered boat launching ramp and access to Lake Macquarie. The boat ramp is just 600M away so very handy for those with a boat.
It is also a short drive to Sandy Beach reserve which offers netted areas of the lake safe for swimming, BBQ facilities and a playground.
Whilst staying in Summerland Point, you could visit 'Norah Head', you could visit the lighthouse, the rock pool and there also is a clifftop walk which offers panoramic views of the Pacific ocean. The Munmorah State Conservation Area also offers beaches and walking trails within a short drive from Summerland Point.
There is limited public transport available.

There may be a noise monitor at the property - this will send automatic messages should the noise level be above 80 dB. please be mindful of the neighbours as we follow a good neighbour policy in regard to noise and behaviour. A security camera may also be located at the front of the property but this is not monitored unless a concern is raised by the neighbours or community.
Please note that you will be required to complete a check-in form before check-in. This will involve providing your home address and email to Lakeshores Accommodation and a copy of your Drivers License to establish the identity of our guest.
